Inspected by a Registered Domestic Builder
Red Dog inspections are carried out by a Registered Domestic Builder – Unlimited, bringing broad practical knowledge of residential construction and an understanding of how the different parts of a home work together.
That registration matters when you buy. Since the 2025 update to the REIV/LIV contract of sale, General Condition 21 lists who can provide a building report when a sale is subject to one: a registered building surveyor, a registered building inspector, a registered domestic builder or an architect. The report must be prepared in accordance with AS 4349.1–2007, and only a major defect gives the purchaser a right to terminate.
After every inspection you can talk the findings through with the building consultant who inspected the property, so you understand what matters before you decide.
